I just read the reviews for this dental place. My son has an appointment today. I hope it goes great!! We got referred by Mint Orthordontics. No attitude from front desk or doctors please. Ill rate after. The exams and xrays are cheap which is fantastic because I'm paying out of pocket and have 3 kids but lets see costs after for treatment's. Hope its affordable as well
New Horizon dental really let me down. I choose this clinic based on their reviews. Apparently, I should have looked more into them. Their way of dealing with their patients is very unprofessional. It took about a week for them to come up with my treatment plan, when in most clinics it takes about a day. Second, I was the one that had to initiate all phone calls, not once did they ever call me back. Third, they proceeded to tell me that both my insurance plans covered work that needed to get done to my teeth. When in fact they were out of network and just wanted my money. Not a very good experience, my advice to most always get a second opinion.
Not only did the male dentist give my daughter attitude, but the assistant gave me a very miss know it all attitude. I took off 1 star for that but the front office staff were very nice and accommodating.
I have never in my life met a more kind, caring and eloquent doctor than Dr. Ochoa at New Horizons Family Dentistry. I took my mom in today with a lot of pain in swelling and they were very careful when giving her a preliminary check up. My whole family has been very on edge all day since the first doctor she saw had a very poor choice of words and basically said she can die in a few months. After seeing Dr. Ochoa my mom walked out with a different perspective as he provided a clear and concise course of action to treat my mom's condition. The way you speak and portray empathy towards a patient, especially one that is in a lot of pain and is in mainly dark about what is wrong, goes a long way and Dr. Ochoa knows that very well. We feel very blessed to have found a doctor like him.
I would def. recommend this place. After having trouble getting an appointment for weeks in other places, nobody seemed to have appointments after 4pm or staff was super rude, I called New Horizons and the lady was super kind and able to schedule me at 6pm the same day. I even had both right side wisdom teeth removed the same day. End up getting out almost 10 pm, and they were still there. I will come back.
